From These Vines, No Grapes, Just Anguish
Whabi Sultan, 90, a Palestinian landowner
in Hebron, wept yesterday over uprooted vines he said he had planted 35
years ago. Mr. Sultan, who lives only yards from the Jewish settlement
of Kiryat Arba, accused Jewish settlers of uprooting 400 grapevines overnight.
